Developing Internet at schools and public places requires self-regulation mechanisms

The wide development of Internet at schools and public places (Internet clubs) requires the development of self-regulation mechanisms, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Elmir Velizade said during the round table devoted to Safer Internet Day.
He said that today the main issue on the agenda is to protect children and adolescents from the negative impact of the virtual environment, which can lead to reality .
Unfortunately, the Internet today is filled with content of a pornographic nature from. Sometimes we can not protect adolescents from watching them, he said.

Azerbaijan joined the Convention on Cybercrime, which also provides for the implementation of measures to prevent these incidents.
