Google

Google — is the world's largest search engine and a multinational company specializing in advertising, based in the United States. Google not only owns many services and products available on the internet but also develops them. A significant portion of its revenue is generated from advertisements through the AdWords program. The company was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students at Stanford University. This duo is often referred to as the "Google Guys."

Google was first established as a private company on September 4, 1998, and went public on August 19, 2004. During the public offering period, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Eric Schmidt agreed to work together until 2024. Since its inception, its mission has been to organize the world’s information and make it accessible. The company's unofficial motto, coined by Google engineer Amit Patel and supported by Paul Buchheit, is "Don't be evil." In 2006, the company moved to Mountain View.

It is estimated that Google operates over a million servers in data centers around the world, processes over a billion search requests, and that the data generated by users amounts to 24 petabytes per day. The company has offered services like Orkut, Google Buzz, and Google+, along with the email system Gmail. Additionally, it extends to the desktop with the web browser Google Chrome, the photo viewing and editing program Picasa, and the chat program Google Talk. Beyond these, it has played a significant role in the development of the Android operating system. Known as the primary operating system for the Cr-48, Google Chrome OS has been used in commercial Chromebooks like the Samsung Series 5 and Acer AC700 since June 15, 2011.

According to Alexa, google.com is the most visited website on the internet. Other Google-owned sites like YouTube, Blogger, and Orkut, as well as numerous international Google sites (google.co.in, google.co.uk, etc.), are among the top 100 most visited websites. Additionally, the company ranks second in the BrandZ brand value database list. However, Google has faced complaints regarding privacy and copyright issues.
